This peppermint matcha latte quickly became my go-to holiday drink to warm up chilly mornings with a vibrant flavor.

Ingredients

  • Matcha Base: 2 tsp high-quality matcha powder, 1/4 cup hot (not boiling) water (about 80°C / 175°F)
  • Milk & Sweetener: 2 cups milk of choice (dairy, oat, almond, or soy), 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
  • Peppermint Flavor: 1/4 tsp pure peppermint extract
  • Topping (Optional): Whipped cream (dairy or plant-based), Crushed peppermint candies or sprinkles

Instructions

Step 1:
In a small bowl, sift the matcha powder to remove lumps.
Step 2:
Add hot water to the matcha and whisk with a bamboo whisk or milk frother until smooth and frothy.
Step 3:
