Ingredients
- Fruit Selection: 1 cup strawberries hulled and sliced, 1 cup green grapes halved, 1 cup blueberries, 1 cup pineapple chunks, 1 cup cantaloupe cubed, 1 kiwi peeled and sliced, 1 small apple sliced, 1/2 cup blackberries
- Garnish & Assembly: 1 celery stick for butterfly body, 2 thin pretzel rods or candy sticks for antennae, fresh mint leaves optional for decoration
- Optional Dip: 1 cup vanilla Greek yogurt, 1 tbsp honey, 1/2 tsp lemon zest
Instructions
- Step 1:
- Wash and prepare all fruit as directed. Pat dry with paper towels to avoid excess moisture.
- Step 2:
- On a large platter or tray place the celery stick vertically in the center to form the butterfly&s body.
- Step 3:
- Arrange the sliced apple at the top of the celery for the butterfly&s head.
- Step 4:
- Use pretzel rods or candy sticks to create the antennae inserting them into the apple slice.
- Step 5:
- Form the butterfly wings on each side of the body by arranging the various fruits in color blocks or patterns use strawberries grapes blueberries cantaloupe kiwi pineapple and blackberries. Alternate colors for a vibrant look.
- Step 6:
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
- Step 7:
- For the optional dip mix Greek yogurt honey and lemon zest in a small bowl. Serve alongside the tray.
