# How to Make It:
- Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together in a medium bowl.
- Beat unsalted butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract if using, then beat until fully combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until a dough forms.
- Divide the dough into two discs, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness; cut into oval or round shapes using cookie cutters or a glass.
- Place cookies 1 inch apart on prepared sheets and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
- Mix powdered sugar with milk and vanilla extract until smooth and pourable. Tint a portion of icing brown with gel coloring.
- Spread brown icing over the cooled cookies for the reindeer’s face. Attach red candies for noses, black candies for eyes, and mini pretzels as antlers using icing. Add sprinkles or edible glitter if desired. Let icing set before serving.
