Recipe FAQs

Can I substitute the turkey with another protein?

Yes, grilled chicken or rotisserie chicken work well as alternatives, offering a similar texture and flavor balance.

What types of cheese work best in this melt?

Provolone and mozzarella melt smoothly, but Swiss, cheddar, or gouda add unique flavors and creaminess.

How can I ensure the bread stays crispy without burning?

Cook on medium heat and press gently, cooking 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Is there a way to add more texture to the sandwich?

Using multigrain or whole wheat bread adds extra fiber and crunch, enhancing the overall experience.

Can the pesto contain nuts, and how should I consider allergies?

Traditional pesto often includes pine nuts; check store-bought labels or make a nut-free version if allergies are a concern.
